This book was delightful! One of the things I liked best about it was that it turned certain romance/fantasy tropes on their heads: in this world, necromancers are fighting for the good guys, and the only sexy billionaire in sight is an evil faerie. The author manages to blend Medieval details into her fantasy setting, as well -- e.g. Arthurian mythology and Old English words -- without getting bogged down in her research. As for characters, I thought Stella was a standout heroine: I love, love, love that she is a video game designer, and that this detail actually *shows* in the way she speaks and approaches problem-solving, rather than being tacked on to add superficial quirkiness. And although I'm not a big fan of the "male protector" character type, I did not find Cal to be overbearing (...most of the time). I give the author major kudos for avoiding a lot of romance character cliches; I can't remember a single occasion on which he "quirked an eyebrow" or she "lifted her chin defiantly." I'm giving four stars here because the sex scenes, to my mind, were brief and a bit routine, but that is probably a matter of taste. I will be keeping an eye out for the next book in the series!Tags : Otherworld Protector (Harlequin Nocturne) [Kelli;Godman, Jane Ireland] on Amazon.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. A Sorcerer Secrets and Seduction When Stella Fallon journeys to Spain for a dream job,Kelli;Godman, Jane Ireland,Otherworld Protector (Harlequin Nocturne),Harlequin,0373009593

I read it to give it a fair review then I threw it away. Not good, not bad. Just not anything I wanted to read again.
Good book.
