I was so hooked on the first book which ended in a cliffhanger, I could not wait for the next to come out. Ms. Lavelle has a way of writing that will leave you wanting more. Each book was better than the last, her characters are so real, her books could be pulled out of every day life. You will not want to miss this collection of all 3 together for a wonderful hot romantic read that will leave your craving for more. Ms. Lavelle character are heartwarming every day people who have fallen to rock bottom the only way is up or is it?
Book 1 - Entangled Moments
Cliffhanger grrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hate cliffhangers and usually I would give nothing higher than a 4 due to that but dangin it this book was good.

It was way to short but I LOVED IT. I can't wait to find out how Carlene truly lost her ex-boyfriend and find out if Nick and her break up or get together, if they can work through all the issues. Is this quits or will they find their way back. I just know in book two Carlene will break our heart with her story and can Nick really find out what happen and get over his issues.

Going through life is never easy, when one looses it all and hits rock bottom there is only one way to go up but how many times must you hit and re-hit those rocks before you can finally come out ahead not only in life but love. Carlene just came out of rock bottom to go right back down. She went from having a life to loosing it all and then to having a life. Will she loose it all again? She will have a choice to move on or stay with those rocks. This book said so much but leaves so much out there is so many ways this next book can go which leaves your mind spinning and you just have to know.

Book 2 - Rekindled Moments
I am setting here wondering what to type, usually for me giving a review is easy. You either like or you do not. Then you write what you like or didn't like. I am setting here flooded wondering what the hell I am going to type. This book has touched me in so many ways.

There is no doubt that real life is hard, some days are harder then others. We look to book to smile, laugh and sometimes to just escape. Then we find an author who takes a book and turns it into real life.This book is fiction but it could be someones life. It is so believable. An author who makes you think and makes your realize to be thankful for what you have. That no matter how hard life is it could always be worse. It is up to each of us to make the most of today, it is not up to others to make us happy for we must make our self happy to make those around of happy. Ms. Lavelle thank you for reminding me of these things I do forget them from time to time.

I could not put this book down, I do not want it to end and I doubt you can read this book and not feel the emotion and passion. If you really think about what the author is saying at the end of it you should not only be happy but sad, maybe even have a tear. So much goes on in a very short time, you have love lost, love found only to lose it again and it does not stop there. You more or less have most of the town pointing fingers at you for something you had no control over. Carlene has beaten herself up more than any person out there could. She has her weak moments but stands strong and faces her fears. People hate her for something’s she never did. No matter what she always put others first, even when they do not to the same for her. Don't you think it is about time others put her first. I guess you will have to read to find out for yourself.

How many times must you lose everything and say what the hell I give up. Before you just want to join those love ones who have died before you. Carlene NEVER thinks this way, just pushes on and hopes times will get better.

Nick is fighting his own demons, for he loved and lost the same man Carlene did, his brother. He doesn't know the story of how he died and he doesn't want to hear it. All he knows is the women he loved lied to him by not telling him who she was and who she loved and yes killed. But did she really kill his brother. Will Nick find it in his heart to really listen and learn or will he let hate take over? Again you will have to read.
Book 3- Bittersweet Moments
Ms. Lavelle does it again with a 5+ rating each book is better than the last.

In the last book we came to know Melisa we know her husband dies in a fire the same day she lost her unborn child. She could not live life after losing so much she began drinking and gambling and loses everything she owns. Melisa ended up in a shelter trying to overcome her past why giving up her addiction it is one of the hardest things she has ever done. This is where she meets her best friend who put her on the straight road and a new beginning. The one thing besides her lost she could not forget was Heat, her one night stand in high school and her husband best friend. Of course all this happen before meeting her husband.

This story starts at the homeless shelter where a fire breaks out from Melisa carelessness she is in a room with a bottle of whiskey and a candle which starts the fire. Could this be her giving up and turning back to her old ways? The answer is no she is just reliving old memories and trying to put them behind her. Heat come to the rescue pulls her out of the fire and never leaves her side. She doesn’t know it but Heat never got over their one night stand and has secretly loved her all these years. He dates a lot but none are her and he can’t just keep dragging the women along when there is nothing there, he has kept looking for a woman he can love. When the fire call comes in walks Heat to save the day and low and behold it is Melisa who he can’t forget. He carries Melisa out and will never let her go, Melisa has been holding on to a secret for too many years she is afraid if she tells Heat he will walk away. For their live to go on she must tell him and hope for the best. This is one couple who deserves to find happiness they have waited so many years for this day. So much stands in their way will they ever find happiness? Can they have a happy ending?

These stories has everything secrets, love, hate, passion, lost love, finding love only to possible lose it again. Dori tells a story of much pain leaving the read always asking for more. You will be cheering for her characters and wanting to slap a few heads. When you get to the end you will feel peace still wondering how things will go. She leaves it up to you to fill in a few blanks. What a wonderful read. I would recommend any story the author writes, and would read anything she puts to type.

Entangled Moments by Dori Lavelle is the first book in the Moments in Time series. It has a cliffhanger ending that will leave you groaning in frustration until the next book is out. You are a wicked woman indeed Dori lavelle. Wicked.

Carlene is just barely keeping it together each day until she meets Nick. They are both paying their respects at a local chapel and he asks her to go for coffee. In a perfectly quaint scenario she has an almost slip and fall and he catches her and leans in to kiss her good and proper in the middle of the coffee shop.

After this inspiring event and with the encouragement of a dear friend, Carlene sets out to come to terms with the tragic past and take slow and steady steps forward.

As the title suggest, the characters in this tale are entangled in each other before they are even aware of the how or why of it.

The book is about 100 pages (i.e. shortish) so the characters develop quickly and events happen steadily. You won't be bored. Romance, a little heat, a whole lot of angst, and a really sweet tale (albeit with a wicked cruel cliffhanger ending)(*groans*).

Rekindled Moments by Dori Lavelle is the second book in her Moments in Time contemporary romance series. This book is the conclusion to the dramatic affair between Carlene Adams and Nick Johnson that we first met in book one in the series, Entangled Moments.

Book one ended on a "bit" of a cliffhanger. Nick had just discovered that Carlene was in fact the woman that killed his long lost twin brother, Chris, robbing him of the chance to ever truly know him. Carlene is going through the motions of living without really being present. It is affecting her job and her health and things that had started to piece themselves together so well in the beginning are now steadily falling apart around her. A massive act of betrayal leaks the story of Chris and Nick to the press and Carlene has now also lost her job. Nick is unyielding in his refusal to hear her out and the downward spiral is in full flight.

Fear not dear readers, this does end happily, it's the journey we take to get there that is particularly painful (non-waterproof mascara and crying eyes do not good friends make, my eyes are still stinging).

We finally learn the actual events that led to Chris's death and the puzzle pieces slowly start to fall into their correct places. A stunning conclusion to the fairy-tale romance of Carlene and Nick.

The next book in this series, Bittersweet Moments focuses on Carlene's troubled best friend, Melisa. It is expected in April of 2014.

Bittersweet Moments by Dori Lavelle is the third book in her wonderful Moments in Time series.

This is finally the story of Melisa and the firefighter she lost and the one that still holds her heart. It was not an easy book to read. Her coping mechanisms (or lack thereof) drove me up the flipping wall on more than one occasion while reading this. She really is a little damaged. Thank goodness for Heat (Florian Dane), her dead husbands best friend.

In this book we learn about the past, about the connection that the two of the had. We learn about how Melisa met her deceased husband, and what happened after he died.

It's a truly beautiful story that will leave you ready to learn more about where the future will take Melisa and Heat. If you haven't yet read the books in this series you should...
